A purse containing a wallet and a digital camera was reported stolen at 12:25 p.m. Monday from an unlocked 1995 GMC in the 600 block of West Willoughby Avenue downtown.
Police arrested 20-year-old Aaron Matthew Brown, on a felony charge of first-degree vehicle theft and misdemeanor counts of trespassing and driving without a license at 2:18 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Glacier Avenue. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. From the same incident, an 18-year-old man was cited on an underage drinking charge.
A minor accident involving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and a parked 1993 Honda Civic was reported at 12:37 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Glacier Avenue.
A minor accident was reported at 5:19 p.m. Monday involving a parked car on 10th Street near the Federal Building.
Hit and run:
At 10:08 a.m. Tuesday a 1992 Plymouth Sundance was reported struck by an unknown vehicle on North Douglas Highway near False Outer Point.
A Ford truck struck the gate of a loading dock at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive. The truck was not damaged.
A 72-year-old man was checked by emergency medical personnel after an accident at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Willoughby Avenue. The man was sitting in a parked Ford that was struck by a Subaru driven by a 71-year-old woman. Minor damage was reported to the vehicles.
Police impounded a vehicle at 1:14 a.m. Tuesday on Douglas Highway near Cordova Street after citing the driver, a 23-year-old man, on a charge of driving without a license.
Police impounded a vehicle at 9:32 a.m. Tuesday on outbound Egan Drive in the Twin Lakes area after citing the driver, a 24-year-old woman, on a charge of driving without a license.
Police lodged a 33-year-old woman at the state prison at 4:36 p.m. Monday after arresting her on a charge of making a false report in the 1700 block of Glacier Avenue downtown.
