Kourtney Altman, of Juneau, and Skylar Melton, of Cave Junction, Ore., and Juneau, will be married at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Juneau Yacht Club. A potluck reception will follow at 6 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Kara Altman and Martin Palmer, of Juneau. A lifelong Juneau resident, she currently works for Wells Fargo Bank.
The groom is the son of Donna and Randy Melton, of Cave Junction. A 2001 graduate of Illinois Valley High School in Cave Junction, he currently remains at home to care for the couple's two young children.
The maid of honor will be Michelle Hutchinson. Bridesmaids will be Ashley Roberts and the groom's sister, Tiphanie (Sam) Melton. The couple's daughter, Kylie Melton, will serve as flower girl.
The best man will be Chuck Compton, and the groomsmen will be Rob Lakey and the bride's brother, Indigo Palmer. The couple's son, Dylan Melton, will serve as the ring bearer.
In addition, the bride's cousins, Kiana and Kiara Beierly, will serve as the bride's train attendants, and the bride's uncle, Phillip Melendrez, will serve as the marriage officiant.
Friends of the family are invited to attend both the wedding and reception. Please notify the bride's mother, Kara Altman, at 780-6549, that you will be attending and if you are able to share a dish at the reception.
The couple will honeymoon in Honolulu, Hawaii, and make their home in Juneau.
