JUNEAU - The Southeast Alaska Guidence Association will help celebrate Global Youth Service Day, an annual event in which young people around the world volunteer to make improvements in their communities, on Wednesday in Juneau.

Juneau kids will gather to perform various community projects around town from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. They will serve at 14 local nonprofit organizations such as The Glory Hole, Gastineau Humane Society, Wildflower Court and the Juneau Boys and Girls Club.

The day will start and end at Cope Park and run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will include breakfast, community service, lunch and hopefully tons of fun.
