Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Burglary:

• At 12:07 p.m. Sunday, it was reported that two shacks, a log cabin and an announcer's booth at Dimond Park were broken into sometime since Thursday. Damage to the park was estimated at $500.

Vandalism:

• A woman reported at 9:05 a.m. Monday that two vehicles - a 1998 Ford pickup and a 1989 Ford Mustang - were pelted with eggs about five minutes earlier near Mallard Street in the airport area.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was seen at 1:53 p.m. Sunday getting into garbage in the area of the 6500 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area. Police responded and issued a litter citation to the resident. At 2:38 p.m. Sunday, police received a report about an incident at 5 a.m. in which a bear tore into a garbage enclosure on Mendenhall Loop Road.
