Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Vehicle accidents:

• A man backed his 2005 Ford truck into a loading dock gate, in a one-car accident reported at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday near Hospital Drive. The truck was not damaged.

• A 72-year-old man was checked by medics after a 71-year-old woman drove her Subaru into his parked Ford at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday near West Willoughby Avenue. The man was not injured, and neither car sustained extensive damage.

• At 2:53 p.m. Tuesday, a 64-year-old woman reported her 2001 Dodge Caravan was struck by an unknown driver near West 11th Street.

• The vinyl cover of a 1990 Geo Tracker's rear-mounted spare tire was ripped after a greenish-blue car backed it into in an accident reported at 3:34 p.m. Tuesday near Glacier Highway.

• A 19-year-old man was cited for careless driving at 7:34 a.m. Wednesday after he lost control of his 1999 Suzuki and struck a guardrail near outbound Egan Drive and Norway Point. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

• A 45-year-old man was cited for speeding at 7:41 a.m. Wednesday near outbound Egan Drive and Norway Point after he lost control of his 1994 Ford.

• A 35-year-old man was cited for careless driving at 8:43 a.m. Wednesday near North Douglas Highway after he rolled his 1989 Jeep. The vehicle sustained $500 in damage.


• At 4:33 p.m. Tuesday, a 35-year-old woman reported her white 1989 Ford was vandalized near Valley Boulevard.


• A 19-year-old man was arrested at 10:07 p.m. Tuesday for fourth-degree theft near South Franklin Street. He also was charged with minor consuming, being under 21 on a licensed premise and providing false information. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 8:43 a.m. Wednesday, a 21-year-old woman reported her money clip, containing a debit card, identification and cash, was stolen somewhere in the Juneau area.

• At 9:05 a.m. Wednesday near Crazy Horse Drive, a 48-year-old man reported the theft of a four-horsepower outboard motor (worth $600), a red 12-gallon gas can ($150) and a red six-gallon gas can ($40).


• Two men, 26 and 24, were arrested for assault at 12:14 a.m. Wednesday near Third Street. Both were lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Bear complaint:

• A black bear was reported sitting in a yard at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday near Churchill Way in Lemon Creek.
