Organization description: Provides support to communities, organizations and families to ensure a successful scouting program. Boy Scouts of America trains leaders, sponsors outdoor programs, organizes new units and provides administrative oversight. Locations of outreach in Southeast Alaska include Craig, Gustavus, Haines, Hoonah, Juneau, Ketchikan, Klawock, Metlakatla, Petersburg, Sitka, Skagway, Ward Cove, Wrangell and Yakutat.

Volunteer positions available: Volunteers are especially needed for special events, such as the upcoming Camp Clean-Up on May 13 at Eagle River. Volunteer needs for the camp clean-up include trash pick-up; tree removal; projects including deck building, cabin repair and painting. Volunteers with special skills are encouraged. Lunch is provided and an overnight stay is free.

In-kind/material donations needed: Lumber, heating oil and food for scouting trips. In-kind donations always needed.
