Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Half an hour after midnight Friday, Denise Berkeley, 32, was arrested on Egan Drive inbound for drunken driving and also charged with reckless endangerment. She was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


Shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, an assault was reported in downtown Juneau. About 10:30 p.m., the suspect, a man, 32, was arrested in West Juneau on a charge of domestic violence assault. He was lodged at state prison.

Thefts, lost and found items:

About 10:15 a.m. Friday, a man, 40, reported the theft of a vehicle hood from Salmon Creek Lane. Estimated value was $300.

A man, 63, reported suspicious activity about 11 a.m. Friday on Tongass Boulevard. The activity was near vehicles in his neighbor's driveway. Later he recovered a small bag and returned it to its owner.

A woman, 49, reported about 2 p.m. Friday that her wallet was stolen on Willoughby Avenue. The wallet was later recovered with cash missing. There were no leads or suspects.

About 6:30 p.m. Friday, police received a report of change and sunglasses stolen from a vehicle on Lakeview Court.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A woman, 43, reported about 9 a.m. Friday that two tires on her vehicle were slashed on Fritz Cove Road. Damage was estimated at $200.

Disorderly conduct:

About 9:30 p.m. Friday, a boy, 16, was arrested at Miller House for disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. He was lodged at Johnson Youth Center.

Vehicle accidents:

About 3:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle in the ditch on Glacier Highway. The 1985 Ford LTD four-door, which was totaled, was impounded.

A minute after 1 p.m. Saturday, Capital City Fire & Rescue responded to a motor vehicle accident on Hurlock Avenue. There were no serious injuries.

Hit-and-run incidents:

About 10:40 a.m. Friday, police received a report of a motor vehicle's being hit by an unknown vehicle while unattended on Glacier Avenue.

Animal encounters:

Just after 11 p.m. Friday, bears were reported at Pine and Central in Lemon Creek and Nancy and Breese Streets in Mendenhall Valley.
