Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Erik Paul Stewart, 54, was arrested for drunken driving at 8:51 p.m. Sunday near Mill Street. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• Frank Thomas, 57, was arrested for felony drunken driving at 8:53 p.m. Sunday near Mendenhall Mall Road. He also was charged with failure to stop at the direction of an officer. He was lodged at the state prison.


• Police cited a man, 38, for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, at 5:53 a.m. Monday near Shell Simmons Drive. He was lodged at the state prison.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• A milkshake was reported thrown on a vehicle at 8:23 a.m. Monday near Long Run Drive. Police did not have a damage estimate.

• A garage door was reported vandalized at 8:24 a.m. Monday near Riverwood Drive. Damage was estimated at $100.

• Graffiti was reported at 9 a.m. Monday on a covered playground area near Riverside Drive.

• A black Volkswagen Jetta was reported egged at 11 a.m. Monday near Fifth Street. Police said it was egged two days in a row, and the vehicle's grill also was damaged. Police did not have a damage estimate.

• The hood ornament from a Cadillac was reported stolen at 11:24 a.m. Monday near Calhoun and West Ninth Streets.

Hit-and-run incidents:

• A red 2002 Chevy Silverado was reported struck by an unknown vehicle at 1:14 p.m. Sunday near Douglas Highway. The truck sustained damage to the bumper. Police did not have a damage estimate.
