Police, fire officials and state troopers report:

Sound off on the important issues at


• At 6:18 p.m. Thursday, an assault was reported in the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue.

• At 6:26 p.m. Friday, an assault was reported in the 6200 Block of Douglas Highway.


• At 7:55 a.m. Thursday, a burglary was reported in the 3500 block of Douglas Highway.

• At 9:02 a.m. Friday, a 67-year-old man reported three handguns and cash stolen sometime in the last six months in the 19000 block of Glacier Highway.


• At 2:54 a.m. Saturday, Shannon Cogswell, 24, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless endangerment on Glacier Highway. Cogswell was lodged at Lemon Creek Correction Center.


• At 3:15 p.m. Thursday, a 23-year-old man reported his teal Ford Probe was struck by a Dodge truck in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway.

Lost property:

• At 6:11 a.m. Thursday, police received a report of a lost credit card holder.


• At 7:27 a.m. Thursday, a six-disc compact disc changer was reported stolen from a Jaguar in the 700 block of Fifth Street.

• At 12:13 p.m. Thursday, a two-gigabyte iPod was reported stole in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue.

• At 9:29 a.m. Friday, a theft was reported in the 200 block of Franklin Avenue.

• At 10:57 p.m. Friday, two laptops worth $2,400 were reported stolen in the 1600 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 4:41 p.m. Friday, a theft was reported in the 100 block of Main Street.

• At 5:58 p.m. Friday, a charcoal grill was reported stolen in the 1700 Block of Douglas Highway.

• At 7:51 p.m. Friday, a 48-year old female reported $150 stolen from a till in the 2500 block of Industrial Boulevard.

Traffic accidents:

• At 1:41 p.m. Thursday, a Ford Mustang reportedly hit a BMW on Main Street.

• At 5:20 p.m. Friday, 24-year-old female reportedly struck two cars, causing $5,000 in damage on Mendenhall Loop Road. She was cited for following too closely.


• At 5:31 p.m. Thursday, graffiti was reported at Cope Park on Capital Avenue.
