Moderate quake hits western Aleutians

ATKA - A moderate earthquake rumbled through the Andreanof Islands region of the Western Aleutians.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center said the magnitude 5.2 quake was centered 37 miles east of the tiny community of Atka, where it was felt.

There were no reports of damage from the quake, which occurred at 12:37 a.m. Tuesday.
