Randall Benc, 18, was indicted by a grand jury on felony charges of second-degree assault and third-degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a license canceled, suspended or revoked, stemming from an April 13 incident.
James M. Refuerzo III, was indicted by a grand jury on charges of second-degree arson, first-degree burglary, second-degree burglary two counts of second-degree theft, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief and tampering with physical evidence, stemming from events of Jan. 16 in Hoonah.
George A. Shorty, 24, was found guilty of disorderly conduct, stemming from a March 2 incident where he originally was charged with misdemeanor assault. Juneau District Court Judge Peter B. Froehlich imposed 90 days in jail with 45 days suspended and a $1,000 fine with $800 suspended. He also placed Shorty on probation for two years.
