James 'Pat' Orme

Lifetime Juneau resident James "Pat" Orme, 58, died April 18, 2004, at Wildflower Court in Juneau.

He was born June 20, 1945, in Juneau and is most well known in the community as one of the founding owners of Douglas Trucking.

His family said he will be remembered for his sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jesse Orme, owners of Orme Transfer Company.

He is survived by his daughter, Heidi Glasen; grandchildren, Jacob and Lynnea; sister, Kathy (Ron) Hildre; nephew, Jim Hildre and family, Savannah and Colin; aunt, Eva Mackey; cousins Joanne Wate and Dennis Mackey of California, Pat, Steve and Jack Phillips of Oregon, Bill (Myrna) Orme and family of Seattle; and numerous friends and coworkers.

All family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at 4:30 p.m. May 4 at Parkshore Clubhouse in Juneau.
