This year's Bluegrass Camp for Kids, taught by members of the Bearfoot Bluegrass band, will be held from June 23 through 26. The camp is sponrored by the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council. Pre-registration is required and spaces fill quickly.
The camp is for students between the ages of 5 through 17. Students will learn to play traditional bluegrass instruments as well as develop vocal techniques. Kids can choose to take fiddle, guitar, banjo, bass, mandolin or vocal sessions. Instructors cater to all levels of ability.
