Dow, Leque married in December
Amanda Lynn Dow and William Myron Hamilton Leque were married on Dec. 9, 2000, in the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Portland, Maine. Following the wedding, a reception was held in the Mariners Church. The couple honeymooned in Val D'Isere, France, to ski in the Alps.
The bride is the daughter of James "Jim" Neal and Kathryn "Kathy" Helen (LaCrosse) Dow of Owls Head, Maine. She graduated from Rockland District High School and the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor of science in nursing.
The groom is the son of John A. and Marion E.H. Leque of Juneau. He is a 1991 graduate of JuneauDouglas High School. He graduated from the University of Washington in 1996. After graduation he was commissioned into the U.S. Navy. He is now a flight officer serving aboard a P-3 Orion aircraft at Pt. Mugu in Southern California. The bride is working at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, Calif. The couple will make Oxnard their home until the summer of 2003.
The announcement appearing in the Empire for the wedding of Olivia Long and Michael Orsborn - which will take place at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at the Juneau Church of Christ - did not include the names of the flower girl or the ring bearer.
The flower girl will be Shawna Hammond, and the ring bearer Jerry Wade.
