Seattle publisher Sasquatch Books has produced two children's titles with an Alaska flavor.

"Far North in the Arctic" by Cory Cooper Hansen of Phoenix is a counting book with animal illustrations by Kathryn Kunz Finney of Des Moines, Iowa. One beluga calf, two polar bear cubs, and on up to 10 huskies, in rhyming couplets. (Ages 2-6.)

"The Salmon Princess," by Mindy Dwyer, who lives in New York's Hudson Valley, is an adaptation of the Cinderella fairy tale. The glass slipper is a boot. (Ages 3-6.)
