Sound off on the important issues at

The Douglas-Dornan Foundation is accepting applications for grants for the 2007 grant cycle until June 1. The Foundation offers grants to organizations that benefit and enhance the health, education and welfare of Southeast Alaskans. The Douglas-Dornan Foundation was established in honor of Brian Douglas and Wythe Dornan upon their death in 1993.

Grants are awarded to applicants who demonstrate sufficient need for services, equipment, activities or training that support children, youth, elders or other special-needs groups.

Examples of possible foundation financial support include, but are not limited to nonprofit groups, child-care institutions in Southeast Alaska, foster-parent programs and early childhood education programs.

Grants will be awarded by Sept. 1. For more information, contact Paul Douglas, Trustee, 5050 Thane Road, Juneau, AK, 99801, or call 463-3042.
