JDHS boys and girls soccer - The Juneau-Douglas High School boys and girls soccer teams will battle East Anchorage at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park. The Crimson Bears Boys team (4-1-3) and girls team (4-2-1) will both play on each night. Times TBA.

Ulitmate Players of Southeast Alaska league - The Ultimate Players of Southeast Alaska hosts the Ultimate Frisbee Co-Ed league running from May 13 to June 28. Juneau Soccer Club 2007 club team tryouts - The Juneau Soccer Club invites all youth, grades 5-10, to participate in their competitive team tryouts for summer tournament play. All tryouts are at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park. Bring cleats, ball and water bottle to the time and date that fits your birthdate. Tryout fee is $25 with a signed JSC registration form. Juneau Sports Association sofftball registration - The Juneau Sports Association are registering teams for the 2007 Juneau Adult Softball season. Softball season starts May 7. Men's or women's league is $660 per team for a 20-game season. Co-ed league is $420 per team for a 14-game season. There is a $40 player's fee. A rules clinic will be held on Thursday, April 19 at Dzantik'i Heeni. There will be season schedules available and sign-up for the Lynn Cox Memorial One-Pitch Tournament. Co-ed Master's Indoor Soccer Sunday - The Co-Ed Master's Soccer Sundays is for experienced men and women soccer players over the age of 30. There will be no formal teams and no referees. Dzantik'i Heeni open gym - Community Schools in cooperation with the PEP grant is sponsoring open gyms at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School on Saturdays from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for youth in grades 6-12. There is no charge and youth are encouraged to bring a basketball or volleyball. Info: Community Schools, 523-1774.
Open Badminton Gym - There will be open badminton at Auke Bay School from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. All skill levels are encouraged to attend. Bring a racquet if you have one. Birdies will be provided. Cost is $3 per person. Info: Theresa, 790-2499.
Mt. Jumbo Gym Preschool Open Gym - The Mt. Jumbo Preschool Open Gym is open to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to noon for all children ages 1-6. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at a maximum ration of four children to one adult. Play equipment and tumbling mats are provided. There is a $1 per child cost for the program. Zach Gordon Youth Center climbing wall - Climbing wall hours are 5-7 p.m. on Mondays, and 3:30-7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The climbing wall can be used by people of all ages. Climbers age 20-younger climb free, while adults 21-older pay $5 to use the wall. Youth-adult interaction is encouraged, so an adult climbing with a youth pays no fee. Evening masters swimming program - The Augustus Brown pool hosts a twice-weekly evening masters swimming program. The program will meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and is designed to promote and improve the physical and mental well-being of adults age 19-older. Basketball/volleyball court rentals available - The Juneau Community Schools program has basketball/volleyball court rental times available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School. The cost to rent the court is $20 per hour, which must be paid at the time of rental. This is for adult activities only. Info: Juneau Community Schools, 463-1717.
Juneau Department of Parks and Recreation Wednesday and Saturday hikes - For updates on locations of Wednesday and Saturday group hikes, call the Juneau Parks and Recreation Hikes Hotline. Always remember to bring plenty of food and water, wear warm layers of clothing and proper footwear for the hike. No dogs or firearms are allowed. Wednesday hikes are limited to hikers 18 years of age or older. Saturday hikes are open to families, and children must be accompanied by an adult.
