Ewing, Hale to wed

Ashleigh Hale, of Haines, and Daniel Ewing, of Juneau, will marry at 5 p.m. on May 3, 2008, on an island in the middle of Gastineau Channel. The bride, groom and close friends and family will hike out on low tide. A reception will follow at 7 p.m. at the groom's parents' home.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce Hale and Judy Hamlin. She is a barista for Heritage Coffee Co. and case manager for Juneau Youth Services.

The groom is the son of Mick and Sherrie Ewing. Also a barista for Heritage Coffee Co., he is a mail courier for the state of Alaska.
