As another wonderful year of ski training and racing comes to a close, we wish to thank our many sponsors for their support of the Juneau Ski Team. We had great success in that many of our athletes qualified for the Junior Olympics and performed extremely well. We deeply appreciate our annual sponsors - Juneau Shirt Company, Don Abel Building Supply and Kensington Gold Mine - as well as the City and Borough of Juneau Youth Activities Grant and the Hale Foundation. Without their support, our program would not be possible.
In addition, we must thank many people and businesses who contributed to the success of our primary fundraiser, the annual Cash Bash raffle that was held Jan.19. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Alaska Airlines for donating the prize for our 299th ticket drawn, and to the fantastic supporters who contributed great door prizes: Alaska Distributors, Alaska Fur Gallery, Alaska Outdoor Warehouse, Alaska Soap & Candle Company, Alaskan Fudge Company, Allen Marine, Anon, Eaglecrest, Ed Vandor Construction, El Sombrero, Fire and Ice, Foggy Mountain Shop, Gourmet Alaska, Gross Alaska Theatres, Harley Davidson, Hearthside Books, Imagination Station, Jerry's Meats, Juneau Bowling Center, Juneau Ski Club, Kodiak Coats, Martha's Flowers, Memories - Ann Lind, Napa Auto Parts, Night Moods, Nugget Alaska Outfitter, Oliver's Trophies, Pasta Garden, Pavitt Health & Fitness, Picture This, Pie in the Sky, Play It Again Sports, Radio Shack, Rainbow Foods, Taku Glacier Lodge, Hanger on the Wharf, Valley Auto Parts, Valley Lumber, Valley Paint Center, and Western Auto. Many thanks also go to our entertaining emcee, Mike Windred, organizers John and Lynn Logan, Logan General Tax Practice, and hosts Jack Tripp and The Viking. And of course, we really appreciate everyone who supported the Cash Bash raffle by buying a raffle ticket.
Last, but certainly not least, we want to recognize Eaglecrest staff for their fantastic support of our youth racing program. Thanks to our own Ski Club coaches for a great season: Erin McNally, Eliza Squibb, Jeffery Johns, Heidi Denton, David and Abby Lowell. Mitey Mite coordinator Mike Satre deserves a special thanks, along with Mitey Mite coaches Robert, Randy and Joe.
