Thanks for sponsoring, attending our Heart of Hospice run/walk

Hospice and Home Care of Juneau's Heart of Hospice run/walk held April 10 at Twin Lakes enjoyed another successful and fun day.

The local business community was very supportive in helping to sponsor this race. The great runners and walkers who enjoy getting out were again supportive of our fund raising efforts. Funds from sponsors and participants will allow Hospice and Home Care of Juneau to continue providing and strengthening the comprehensive services we offer.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors: Jensen Yorba Lott, Alaska Marine Lines, Space Unlimited, Western Auto Marine, Southeast Medical Clinic, Ron's Apothecary, Valley Auto Parts/Parts Plus, The Plumbing and Heating Company, Gruening and Spitzfaden, Faulkner Banfield, Juneau Physical Therapy, Elgee Rehfeld Mertz, Ike's Fuel, Baxter Bruce and Sullivan, Chez Santé, Catholic Community Services, Aurora Chiropractic Center, Arctic Carpet Service, Alaska Pacific Bank, Juneau Real Estate, Nugget Alaskan Outfitters, Mark Riederer DDS, Dowl HKM, Coogan Construction, ERA Helicopters LLC, Taku Smokeries, Action Appliance Repair, Benjamin Gilbert DDS, Bullwinkle's Pizza, Lifetime Eye Care, MRV Architects, Wellspring and Jean Jasmine. Costco and Breeze In provided great bagels, muffins, donut holes, bananas and other energy boosters to runners and walkers.

A special thank you to Lori and Tony Yorba, our volunteer race directors. In addition, we could not have conducted this event successfully without assistance from other volunteers: Jan Moyer, Sharon Buis, John and Dolly Kremers, Marg Hedges, Nanci Spear, Linda Harris, Lisa Pusich, Shirley Bandirola, Jim and Tuula Marquardt, Kathryn King, Sandy Harris, Ila Little, Susan Crandall, Chris Thomas, Sara Poor, Paul Terrell and Nancy Davis (I hope I did not miss anybody.)

Thank you to Southeast Roadrunners for co-sponsoring the race and their donation of all participant fees to Hospice and Home Care of Juneau and the runners and walkers who participated.
