University hosts fisheries society Student Symposium

JUNEAU - The University of Alaska Southeast School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences students invite the public to its 13th annual American Fisheries Society Student Symposium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 27, at the new Lena Point Building.

At this symposium, students will present their thesis research, in varying stages of completion, in a format similar to a scientific meeting. Students may present proposed research, research currently underway or completed research, depending on where they are in their graduate school progression. Topics will cover salmon biology, crab biology, genetics, pollock biology, Pacific walrus biology and many more research endeavors.
