BETHEL - Alaska State Troopers say a search is under way for a teacher and his wife missing from a village on the Kuskokwim Bay.
The couple are overdue from a snowmachine trip.
Michael Wier provided a fellow teacher with his trip itinerary. The couple was scheduled to travel from the village of Kwigillingok to two other villages and finally to Bethel.
They were scheduled to arrive in Bethel no later than 10:30 p.m. on Friday. An air and ground search began at daylight. Troopers say the couple has survival gear with them.
