PALMER - Officials at Colony Middle School in Palmer have increased security because of threats made following the death of a moose calf, which had been taunted by students.

School spokeswoman Catherine Esary says additional security personnel have been brought into the school about 40 miles north of Anchorage because of threats posted on Internet blogs.

Superintendent George Troxel says two students have been suspended for actions that led to the Monday incident.
