ANCHORAGE - A 35-year-old Anchorage man has been sentenced to 135 days in jail for falsely claiming Alaska Permanent Fund dividends.

Charles Frazier also was ordered to pay $23,386.68 in restitution for dividends he wrongly received for children who moved out of Alaska.

Frazier pleaded guilty to three counts of unsworn falsification.

A spokeswoman for the Department of Revenue says Frazier's three minor children moved out of Alaska in 2002 but he continued to file applications and collect dividends for them.

He was sentenced to 360 days in jail with 225 suspended. He also will be on probation for three years and he will be permanently disqualified from receiving future dividends.
