Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Sylvia Jane Alvarado, 25, was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at 2:18 a.m. Friday near Trout Street. She also was charged with reckless endangerment. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Assaults:

• A woman, 34, was arrested at noon Friday in the Lemon Creek area on charges of domestic violence assault and being a fugitive from justice. She was lodged at the state prison.

Thefts:

• Police cited a woman, 26, for larceny at 4 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway. She was released.

• A yellow bicycle was reported stolen at 7:40 a.m. Thursday from a residence near Glacier Highway.

• A black tri-fold wallet was reported stolen at 8:40 a.m. Friday from a residence near Glacier Avenue.

• A black purse containing a cell phone, IDs and car keys was reported stolen at 5:30 p.m. from a residence near Glacier Avenue.

• A checkbook, credit cards and about $30 in coins were reported taken from a vehicle at 6:30 a.m. Saturday near Seventh Street.

Vehicle accidents:

• No one was cited following a two-vehicle accident at 4:23 p.m. Thursday near Harbor Way. A 2000 Chevy flatbed truck, driven by a man, 48, struck a 2000 GMC truck. The GMC sustained $1,000 damage while the Chevy was not damaged.

• A 1993 Dodge was reported struck by an unknown vehicle at 1:45 p.m. Friday near Front Street.

• At 2:20 p.m. Friday on Egan Drive a 2002 Dodge truck driven by a man, 44, struck a 2001 Chevy driven by a woman, 49. The woman was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The man was cited for failing to yield while turning. His truck had $1,000 damage. The woman's car had $6,000 damage.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited 14 people between the ages of 17 and 20 for underage drinking at 11:50 p.m. Friday at Sunshine Cove.

• Police cited 11 people between the ages of 18 and 20 for underage drinking at 3:15 a.m. Saturday near University Drive.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was spotted sleeping in a yard at 10:33 p.m. Thursday near Nancy Street.

Other:

• A pink and multi-colored backpack and a maroon backpack were turned in to the police about noon Saturday from Fifth Street downtown.
