I would like to comment on the issue of keeping church and state separate. First, the church is made up of people and the state is made up of people. The church is primarily an institution to address the spiritual and emotional needs of people. The state, on the other hand, is obviously not in the business of ministry to the soul. So we can see that they are separate. However, the people who are running the state are spiritual beings and are influenced by the spirit world be it good or be it bad. We then can conclude that the influence of the church on the state can only be removed if you remove all God-fearing people from the state. Though the two be separate, they are forever together. You can remove phrases from documents, but you can never remove the souls of the believers.
