Thanks for helping with the dental health fair
Sound off on the important issues at
We want to publically thank the following for all their help with the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium's Children's Dental Health Fair on April 4: Sealaska Corp., Goldbelt Inc., Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, Fred Meyers, Safeway, Costco and Hearthside Books. Your donations were greatly appreciated.
The Headstart teachers and bus drivers were awesome, very organized. Association for the Education of Young Children - Southeast Alaska staff helped with "traffic control." Because of everyone's assistance, SEARHC health fair was a fun and positive experience for our preschool kids, their parents, Headstart teachers and daycare providers.
We had approximately 140 visitors. Donations helped us to purchase decorations, a Dudley the Dinosaur costume and food for the dental staff. (They worked through lunch; so they had to eat when there was an available moment.)
We also had "Health Snacks" for the kids served by Women Infant and Children and Health Promotional staff. We look forward to the next year for the 15th annual SEARHC Dental Health Fair.

Congratulations on your retirement
My husband, Ralph, and I would like to congratulate Barbara "BJ" Jordan on her retirement after serving 27 years in the Division of Law for the state of Alaska. I believe her title was legal text editor/associate attorney.
