Former Juneau resident Joyce Myn Wolfe, 57, died April 26, 2004, at the Teton County Nursing Home in Choteau, Mont., from natural causes
She was born Dec. 7, 1946, in Centralia, Wash., the daughter of Virgil Clyde Pfirter and Dorothy Myn (Fields) Pfirter. She was raised and educated in Juneau and graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1964. She was a dispatcher for the Alaska State Troopers for three years. She attended Centralia Community College in Centralia, Wash., and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in 1985. She worked as a nurse at the Vista Grand Nursing Home in Colorado. She moved to Choteau, Mont., in January 2003 to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her children, Virgil Wolfe of Augusta, Mont., Kelly Buzby of San Diego, Calif., Dennis Wolfe of Washington; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Edward.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at the Gorder Funeral Home in Choteau, Mont. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Funeral Home of Choteau. A second memorial service and burial of cremated remains will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, April 30, at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Chehalis, Wash.
