Former Juneau resident Veronica "Ronnie" (Constantino) Adams, 63, died April 25, 2005, in Hyannis, Mass.
She was born Aug. 11, 1941, in Juneau. She was an Alaska Native and proud member of the Tlingit tribe. She attended Juneau-Douglas High School.
She worked as a dispatcher with the Barnegat, N.J., police department for 17 years, retiring in the early part of 2004 to Cape Cod, Mass.
She was a pianist and guitarist, a gardener with a passion for music, theater and the arts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Santiago "Sam" Constantino.
She is survived by mother and stepfather, Elizabeth and Rudy Govina of Juneau; her brothers and sisters, Mary Almeida of Palmer, Velda Merino, Kenneth Constantino of California, and Debbie Constantino of California; four daughters, Kim (Rob) Moberg of Centerville, Mass., Pam (Dwayne) Roberts of Brooklyn, N.Y., Kelly (John) Branscomb of Manakawkin, N.J., and Cheryl Hogan of Waretown, NJ; and two grand-daughters, Rachel and Rebecca Moberg.
A memorial service will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. April 30 in Toms River, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 377 Elliott St., Newton Upper Falls, Mass., or to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas, 75265.
