ANCHORAGE - Teachers in Anchorage have reached a tentative contract agreement with the Anchorage School District.
The labor contract, which still must be ratified by teachers and the school board, would run through June 2013.
Under the agreement, every full-time teacher would get a $1,800 salary increase in the first year, then a 2-percent raise the second year and a 3-percent increase the third year.
The 3,500 members of the Anchorage Education Association are set to vote on the proposal May 6.
If approved, the school board would vote on adopting it.
