Carrie Laliberte fired a no-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead the Juneau-Douglas High School junior varsity to a 9-0 win over host Ketchikan in the second-game of a doubleheader Thursday.
Ashliegh Wilwert went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, three RBIs and a home run. Cortney Wagner was 1-for-1 with two runs scored, Katie Damian had three hits and Sarah Manning went 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Crimson Bears.
In the first game, Juneau utlized a big fifth inning to top Wrangell 24-5.
Trixie Abella led the Bears' attack with a double, two singles and four runs scored. Wilwert smacked two triples and scored, Wagner went 2-for-2 with four runs scored and Tara Hansen added two hits and two runs.
Manning and Laliberte each went 2-for-2 with a run scored and Val Ozawa contributed a hit and three runs scored.
Abella earned the pitching win.
The varsity plays a doubleheader today against Ketchikan.
