Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


About 11:15 p.m. Saturday, a man, 19, was arrested at a school in the Mendenhall Valley for domestic violence assault. Alcohol was involved in the incident. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts, lost and found items:

Shortly before 8 a.m. Saturday, a man, 46, reported his vehicle and cell phone stolen from in front of his residence on Gee Street. The vehicle was later recovered downtown; it sustained $50 to $100 damage.

Shortly before noon, a woman, 32, reported the loss of a $100 bill near Floyd Dryden Middle School. She called 20 minutes later to report finding the lost bill.

Just after midnight Saturday, officers recovered a boys' style LBL brand bicycle on Glacier Highway. The bike was placed into safekeeping.

About 9:45 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of a stolen rifle from Churchill Way.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

Shortly before 10 a.m. Saturday, a man, 48, reported vandalism to several pieces of heavy equipment on Glacier Highway. Damage is estimated at more than $10,000.


About 2:15 p.m. Saturday, a man, 39, was arrested for criminal trespass on South Franklin Street. He was lodged at state prison. Bail was set at $500 cash.

Vehicle accidents:

Shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Mendenhall Mall Road. A blue 2000 Ford operated by a man, 42, struck a 1987 blue Cadillac operated by a woman, 41. The man was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital by ambulance. He was later issued a citation for negligent driving. Each vehicle sustained about $5,000 damage.

About 4:20 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Mendenhall Loop Road and Egan Drive. There were no injuries. A white Jeep rear ended a red Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi suffered $2,500 damage. The Jeep's driver, a man, 42, was cited for not maintaining a safe distance.
