My Turn: The shock and sorrow of Sept. 11 continue to resonate
We here in New York appreciate all the prayers offered by people like Dixie Alms (Empire, April 28) for us after 9-11. New York is coming back, but it will be a long, hard process. The devastating feelings when we were under attack have subsided, but the loss of friends, family, and a whole part of the city remains a constant. The thoughts and good will of Alaskans and all Americans, as well as people throughout the world, have touched us in ways you can't imagine and redoubled our typically tough New York resolve.
