Jeannette A. Hixon of Yakutat and Troy R. Ross of Newport, Ore., were married in a ceremony held at 2 p.m. April 7 at "A Special Memory Wedding Chapel," in Las Vegas. A reception followed at The Imperial Palace. Many friends and relatives of the couple were present, and the couple would like to extend their thanks to all who attended.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick L. Hixon (deceased) and Anne L. Pavlik-Schmidt and Thomas Schmidt. She is employed as a customer-service representative for the Juneau Empire.
The groom is the son of America M. Staggs and Stephen A. Ross. He is employed as a customer service representative for Fred Meyer Co.
The maid of honor was Lillian A. Johnson, and the bridesmaid was Shawnel Steele-Padilla.
The best man was Mike R. Johnson. Ushers were Michael A. Alfred and Chris Alfred Jr. Justen P.C. Ross was the ring bearer.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Las Vegas. They will make their home in Juneau.
