ANCHORAGE - A group of students who vandalized Service High School in Anchorage will be banned from graduation.
The students also will have to do some community service.
However, they will not be expelled, and will be allowed to get their diplomas, after completing their community service.
The Anchorage School District suspended 16 students last week. Authorities said the students broke up into two groups, with one filling exterior door locks with epoxy and the other mixing and pouring concrete to make barricades to block the school's driveways.
Police said Monday they plan to pursue criminal charges against at least 15 of the students.
