TOK - Alaska State Troopers say a 35-year-old Northway man was killed in a car crash on the Alaska Highway about 20 miles west of the Canada border.
Anthony Sam was pronounced dead at the scene Wednesday night.
Troopers spokeswoman Beth Ipsen says the case remains under investigation but Sam has been determined to be the driver of the car. Investigators have not determined whether he was alone.
Troopers in Tok just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday took a call on the crash at Mile 1252 Alaska Highway. The car had been heading east toward the border.
Investigators say a sedan veered out of control and rolled 40 to 50 feet down a steep embankment, landing upside down in a shallow creek.
Sam was ejected from the car.
