Bear soccer girls 2-0 on roadtrip

The Juneau-Douglas girls' soccer team started its Anchorage road trip with two wins on Wednesday and Thursday. In regular-season action on Wednesday, the Bears rolled over Palmer, 7-1. Solana Ashe, Mahlet Tingley and Dorothy Brent each had a goal, and Annika Ord and Melissa Skan had two each. Kaya Chrisensen, Brent, Marlena Sloss and Daffodil Alinson each had an assist.

In the fist round of the Dimond Tournament on Thursday, the Bears edged the host Lynx 1-0. Sarah Tarver scored the lone goal with an assist from Ord.

JDHS plays Chugiak today at 5 p.m. There will be more information forthcoming.
