Police cited a 48-year-old man on a charge of disorderly conduct at 12:47 a.m. Sunday in a downtown parking garage.
Capitol City Fire and Rescue reported a furnace and ductwork were damaged in a fire. Crews responded at 11:20 p.m. Saturday and extinguished the fire on Wolfram Way in the Mendenhall Valley. There was also light smoke damage in the home. Because working smoke detectors alerted residents to the fire, all escaped the home without injury, firefighters reported.
A personal digital music player was reported stolen at 3:55 p.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Riverbend Drive in the Valley.
A 16-gallon plastic fuel tank was reported stolen at 4:48 p.m. Saturday from a boat in the 900 block of First Street in Douglas.
Police cited a 43-year-old woman on a charge of failing to exercise due care after an accident at 1:50 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of West Ninth Street downtown. She was driving a 1997 Ford truck that reportedly hit a parked 1996 Ford Taurus. Damage to the Taurus was estimated at $3,000. Damage to the truck was estimated at $500.
