Former Juneau resident Joe Glenn Shaw, of Waynesboro, Tenn., died April 29, 2007, at his residence. He was 72.

He was a native of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., owner of Tennessee Fitness Spa in Waynesboro, an Army veteran, a Christian and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Much of his life was spent in Alaska, where he met his wife and raised his son and daughter. He was an entrepreneur and avid hunter and fisherman. He was a lover of the outdoors and traveling the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Flora Trapp Shaw; and brother, Paul Shaw.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bee Love Shaw, of Waynesboro; son, Dan Shaw and his wife, Valerie, of Waynesboro; daughter, Rachel Manley and her husband, Scot, of Waynesboro; grandson, Cameron Manley, of Waynesboro; several nieces and nephews, including his brother's children, Patti Locke, Brenda Sims, John Shaw and Larry Shaw.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Neal Funeral Home, with Jimmy Pearcy officiating. Interment will follow at Shaw Cemetery in Lawrence County, Tenn.
