Jazz & Classics set for May 16 to 25

Tickets are on sale for the 22nd annual Juneau Jazz & Classics concert series to be held in the capital city from May 16 to 25.

The concert series will kick off with blues artist Charlie Musselwhite at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 16 at the ANB Hall. The series ends with a performance by acoustic trio Hot Tuna at 8 p.m. on Sunday May 25 at the Juneau-Douglas High School Auditorium.

Other acts include cabaret singer Lannie Garrett, jazz piano trio The Bad Plus, jazz with the Butch Thompson Trio, composer Bruce Adolphe, violinist Mark Steinberg, and others.

Events include an open rehearsal, workshops and community day at the University of Alaska Southeast.
