Pioneers' king and queen elected

Norm and Betty Miller have been elected this year's king and queen for the Pioneers of Alaska, Igloo No. 6 and Auxiliary No. 6. There will be a King and Queen Regents Tea, open to the public, on May 6 at 2 p.m. at the Pioneers Home to crown Betty and Norm.

NOAA Sea Week activities

NOAA Fisheries' Auke Bay Laboratory will be hosting kindergarten through sixth grade students for Sea Week activities in the first three weeks of May

The Auke Bay Laboratory is adding a new feature this year, inviting the Juneau community to a Sea Week Openn House on May 9, from 1-4 p.m. The community may tour the lab and experience the Sea Week program activities.

Parents of home-school students are encouraged to call Bonita Nelson at 789-6071 to schedule trips
