JUNEAU - Two deputy commissioners have been appointed to the Department of Fish and Game.

David Bedford, formerly director of the Southeast Alaska Seiners Association, is the new deputy commissioner for fisheries.

Wayne Regelin, a former director of the Division of Wildlife Conservation, is coming out of retirement to serve as the deputy commissioner for wildlife. Regelin retired in February with more than 20 years in the department.

Bedford fished commercially for 15 years and spent three years on the Northern Panel for the Pacific Salmon Commission in treaty negotiations with Canada.
