'You Gotta Have Art 2' set for Travelodge
JUNEAU - Longtime Juneau artist Ellen Northup, along with family and friends, will host "You Gotta Have Art 2 - An Eclectic Selection of Juneau Art" from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, in the banquet room at the Travelodge Juneau Airport Hotel, 9200 Glacier Highway.
Northup's family has been a part of the Juneau art scene since moving to town in 1971. Among their accomplishments, Northup and daughters Melissa Goese-Goble and Sara Goese painted the original art at the downtown Bullwinkle's Pizza Parlor.
The show includes oils by Northup, digital fantasy by Goese-Goble, watercolors by Goese, pastels and scratchboard by Tisket Seslar and photography by Mike Phelps. Seslar and Phelps are family friends.
Northup's family held a show at the Travelodge in 1986.

It's the highest grossing film ever released in Japan. It's also the first animated feature to win the Golden Bear, the top prize at the 50-year-old Berlin Film Festival.
"If you're dispirited by look-alike, sound-alike, think-alike movies, disturbed by an art form that seems not only to tolerate, but also to reward a paucity of imagination, you're not going to believe your luck," wrote L.A. Times art critic Kenneth Turan.
The Nickelodeon is in the Emporium Mall, down the hall from Heritage Coffee. For more information, call 586-ARTS.
