Traffic accidents:

Sound off on the important issues at

• A parked Honda sustained $1,500 in damage at 8:54 a.m. Monday when it was struck by a 32-year-old man in the 13400 block of Glacier Highway.

• A 1991 Dodge sustained $4,000 in damage at 4:48 p.m. Monday after being struck by a vehicle on Mendenhall Loop Road.

• A 17-year-old boy was cited on a charge of failure to yield while making a left turn at 4:49 p.m. Monday in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway. His GMC sustained $1,000 in damage in an accident with a Mercury that sustained $5,000 in damage.

• Three vehicles were in an accident at 5:03 p.m. Monday in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway. No injuries were reported. A 1989 Ford was totaled, a 1996 Suzuki sustained $2,000 in damage and another auto had $1,500 in damage. The driver of the Ford was cited on a charge of failure to maintain a safe distance.

• An 18-year-old woman was hospitalized and cited on a charge of speeding after a two-vehicle crash at 6:39 p.m. Monday on Egan Drive. Her Dodge sustained $6,000 damage in the accident with a Toyota that sustained $3,000 in damage.


• At 11:36 a.m. Monday, a gray Yamaha model F40MJ★ 30-horsepower jet outboard motor was reported stolen in the 2200 block of Industrial Boulevard. It was valued at $5,000.

• At 12:03 p.m. Monday, a camera and home entertainment system were reported stolen in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

• At 5:38 p.m. Monday, a Cannon downrigger worth $350 was reported stolen in the 4500 block of Hillcrest Avenue.


• At 8:56 a.m. Monday, a portable toilet was reported tipped over in the 4000 block of Riverside Drive. The incident cost $200 to clean up.

• At 8:59 a.m. Monday, two other portable toilets were reported tipped over in the 2900 block of Riverside Drive. Cleanup costs were estimated at $400.

• At 11:14 a.m. Monday, a vehicle was reported vandalized in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive. Damage was estimated at $100.

• A vehicle had its rear window smashed out sometime over the weekend in the 800 block of Fourth Street, causing $300 in damage.
