Juneau resident Rosemary Weller died April 28, 2007, in Juneau. She was 65.

She was born March 12, 1942, in Kake to Mary Rose and Charles Axson.
"She lived her life to the fullest and was strong from the day she was born," said her son William Hanson. "She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren ... and did everything to make each and every person she met happy and special in her heart. With arms open wide open, she would give you a hug and kiss on your cheek and always say, 'I love you.'"
She worked in the seafood industry. Her family said she enjoyed gathering traditional foods. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Barton, of San Francisco, Johana Tibon, of Stockton, Calif., Lavina Hallingstad and her husband, Leonard, of Seattle, Wash., and Shirley Herrera, of California; brother, Joe Johnson, of Chicago; uncles, John Keanu, of Anchorage, and Ben Berkley, of Petersburg; ex-husband, Herbert Hanson Sr.; children, Herbert Hanson Jr., of Petersburg, Lucille Hessel, of Juneau, William Hanson, of Juneau, and Wendi Hanson, of Juneau; grandchildren, Gylynne Hanson, Joshua Hunt, Faith Hunt, Richard Hunt, Michael Lyon, Cory Lyon, Sophia Hanson, Daniel Hanson, Michael Olson, Krista and Mack Bloodsworth, Keith Hanson and Larissa Hanson; great-grandchildren, Timothy Williams and Douglas Bloodsworth; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Salvation Army Church in Juneau.
