Troopers find body after dog brings home skull

Posted: Sunday, May 02, 2010

HOUSTON - A dog apparently dragged a skull into the yard of a Houston home and that led police on a search that ended with the discovery of human remains.

Alaska State Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters says officers don't yet know whether foul play was involved in the death.

She says it isn't yet clear how long the remains had been there.

The homeowner called police in Houston Friday morning to report the skull.

Houston Mayor Roger Purcell says the remains were discovered in a wooded area in the Enchanted Forest Subdivision.

Police are working to identify the body and determine a cause of death.
