Talk about honesty and hitting the nail on the head. Mr. Mielke tells it like it is. The legislature won't settle for anything less than getting into the permanent fund. The majority of Alaskans are sick and tired of their efforts to do this. I've lived in Alaska for 50 years this June. Every year for at least the past 10 they have made attempts. If they ever get a grip on the permanent fund we might just as well kiss our dividends goodbye. They will always have ways of spending it. I hope it is not too late for a Legislature that is accountable to the people they represent.
