Mary Ann Quick, 81, died May 1, 2004, in Juneau, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born May 22, 1922, in Juneau. She also lived in Kake, Ketchikan and Saxman before returning to Juneau in 1988. She liked spending time with her family, picking berries, gathering Native foods and taking car rides.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas T. Jackson, mother, Elizabeth M. Jackson, her husband, Peter W. Quick and seven of her children.
She is survived by six sons, Ben, Raymond, Allan, William (Deana), Richard and Fred; four daughters, Ella (Craig) Tiedemann, Elsie, Diane (Bill) Andre and Annie, all of Juneau. She has 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at the Valley Church of God. A fellowship will follow the services.
