Welcome to the Little League section

Posted: Wednesday, May 04, 2005

Welcome to the new Little League section of the Juneau Empire.

Every Wednesday, this bit of space is dedicated to the Gastineau Channel Little League, the players, the volunteers, the managers and the umpires.

With scores, standings, wrap-ups and pictures from throughout the league, we hope to provide positive coverage of Juneau's young people at play.

The game wraps, pictures and schedules are provided courtesy of the hard-working volunteers and dedicated parents of the Little League organization.

If there's anything concerning Little League you believe would be of interest, please call sports editor Tim Nichols at 586-3740, ext. 228, or email at sports@juneauempire.com.
