Local police, fire officials get `911' simulator
A `911' simulator has been donated to Capital City Fire/Rescue and the Juneau Police Department by State Farm Insurance.
The simulator helps teach `911' safety by having participants answer questions from a recorded operator. The device can also add a phone line so a person may ask questions instead of the simulated operator.
The company developed the simulator and has donated over 300 of the devices nationwide. The Juneau ceremony occurred at the end of April.
